This is an introduction to LOVELIGHT from my first ministry as President and founder of an evangelical association in the 1970's. We hit the ground running with sixty one minute ads on a local Christian Radio Station inviting believers to join with us to preach the gospel through the arts. Fifty five applications were made, including a visit in my living room from a nightclub group.
They wanted to keep their nightclub act and sing for Jesus. I told the lead guitarist and singer; they could not sing for the Devil and Jesus too."
He was concerned they could not make financial ends meet, but they returned the next day with his van loaded with music equipment. They had quit their nightclub gig to sing for Jesus at their own expense.
"THAT WHICH IS UNSEEN IS GREATER THAN THAT WHICH IS SEEN" was a lyric of mine the band borrowed from my collection of lyrics and put sound to, and some of their other songs were also done to my lyrics, but we are just posting a few samples here of their seventies sound.
LOVELIGHT was a really good band with great possibilities for developing into a national phenomenon, but unfortunately; "A DIVIDED HOUSE WILL FALL."
A band cannot last long with two bandleaders and the body of Christ is very slow to see the need to finance promising new groups so they can avoid merchandising.
Be perfect in all you do for God as perfectly as you can, and you will find God showing you the holy way to greater Perfection.

I think their sound was good and had they suffered through
the difficulties they faced, I believe the Lord could have
used them mightily.
