The prince of the power of the air influences the content of what is transmitted over television. This is clearly evident in the glorification of sin, in the free use of the name of Jesus Christ as a curse word, in making the bad guy the good guy, and in the constant displays of the beauties of flesh to tempt the television audience to lust. The imaginations of filmmakers is sometimes "only evil continually," which is a repeat of how it was in the days of Noah before God judged the earth. (Genesis 6)
We are told in the sacred Word the Devil "takes people captive at his will." When anyone walks into a room with the television on, their attention is taken captive almost immediately irregardless of whether they are lost are saved.
Yet the TV has no ears to hear or eyes to see. Why would God's people sit down under the spell of television knowing in their consciences it is not good for them much of the time? Would you talk to someone who did all of the talking? Yet you will listen to the television.
What did people do before the television was invented?
There are some programs that are worthwhile, but viewers do not seem to care if the Lord's name is taken in vain, or evildoers are made to appear as though they are good. Believers seem to think they are not influenced by foul language and the glorification of spiritual darkness as long as it is entertaining. "AS YOU THINK IN YOUR HEART, SO YOU ARE."
You could do so much better meditating on the holy Word so you could follow the example of the great men and women of God rather than the wicked examples you are seeing on television shows.
If you live like those who believe not, what makes you think you believe? If you know the truth that sets you free, then why would you let the Devil take you captive at his will? "THE GOD OF THIS WORLD HAS BLINDED THE MINDS OF THEM WHICH BELIEVE NOT, LEST THE LIGHT OF THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF CHRIST, WHO IS THE IMAGES OF GOD, SHOULD SHINE UNTO THEM."
"FOR WHAT FELLOWSHIP HAS RIGHTEOUSNESS WITH UNRIGHTEOUSNESS AND WHAT COMMUNION HATH LIGHT WITH DARKNESS AND WHAT CONCORD HATH CHRIST WITH BELIAL, OR WHAT PART HATH HE THAT BELIEVETH WITH AN INFIDEL? EPHESIANS 4:30 GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION."
Are you aware a worldwide FALLING AWAY is predicted in the last days according to Saint Paul? And with 99% of the Christian population in America suffering from television addiction, are you able to connect the two factors and envision just why that FALLING AWAY is fast approaching? Ask any Christian or Catholic why they must spend so much time in front of their television set and they will always justify themselves saying they only watch good programming. But I have been in Christian homes where corrupt and sinful programs were airing and they were not even slightly embarassed.
"WOE UNTO THEM THAT CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL THAT PUT DARKNESS FOR LIGHT AND LIGHT FOR DARKNESS,THAT PUT BITTER FOR SWEET AND SWEET FOR BITTER."
Would you like to know what God thinks about your having a television set in your home to distract you from devotions and mediations in the sacred Scriptures. Here is a quote from the law of Moses that you might seriously consider. We know the Lawgiver was not writing specifically about television thousands of years ago when it was not yet invented, but the rule still works once you realize what an abomination your television set is in the sight of Almighty God's all seeing eye. Moses wrote: "NEITHER SHALL YOU BRING AN ABOMINATION INTO YOUR HOUSE, LEST YOU BECOME CURSED LIKE IT: BUT YOU SHALL UTTERLY DETEST IT, AND YOU SHALL UTTERLY ABHOR IT; FOR IS IS A CURSED THING." Deuteronomy 7:26
Think about it! The Lord's name is taken in vain freely on national television. You'll notice they are careful about using Mohammad's name in vain because of their fear of Muslims but it is common to hear the Lord's name used as a curse word on your televsion set and do you wish to continue to try to convince yourself it is not abominable?
"LOVE NOT THE WORLD NEITHER THE THINGS THAT ARE IN THE WORLD IF ANY MAN LOVE THE WORLD THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN HIM, FOR ALL THAT IS IN THE WORLD ,THE LUST OF THE FLESH THE LUST OF THE EYES AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE IS NOT OF THE FATHER BUT IS OF THE WORLD." It is the love of this world that makes it possible for the Adversary to take you captive via television. As the prince of the powers of the air, television is one of his primary domains.
How can you sit captivated throughout the week in front of your television set and do God a big favour on Sunday by attending service at your church and not see the hypocrisy of it? If your church wants revival, it would be a good idea for every member to bring his televisions in on Sunday and fill the dumpsters to overflowing with them.
Can you really be on fire for God while you are addicted to television? "I KNOW YOUR WORKS THAT YOU ARE NEITHER HOT NOR COLD, I WOULD YOU WERE COLD OR HOT SO THEN BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM AND NEITHER COLD NOR HOT I WILL SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH."
DON'T BE"CONFORMED TO THE WORLD BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND THAT YOU MAY PROVE WHAT THAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD. How can you say you are in the faith while living outside of faith? "EXAMINE YOURSELVES WHETHER YOU BE IN THE FAITH." You certainly are not presuming to "RULE AND REIGN WITH CHRIST?" Are you an overcomer? Or, are you still enslaved to spiritual darkness?

Can you say with the holy Prophet, King David: "I WILL SET NO WICKED THING BEFORE MY EYES,I HATE THE WORKS OF THEM THAT TURN ASIDE IT SHALL NOT CLEAVE TO ME." Psalm 101:3
"REMEMBER THEREFORE HOW YOU HAVE
RECEIVED AND HEARD AND HOLD FAST AND REPENT, AND IF THEREFORE YOU SHALL NOT WATCH I WILL COME ON YOU AS A THIEF AND YOU SHALL NOT KNOW WHAT HOUR
