Many Christians in America only think of the ten commandments when they are on the news as despised relics of the Christian religion rejected from our country's institutions or when Charleton Heston stars as Moses in replays of the classic film. The real value of the ten commandments has obviously devalued considerably from the day Moses, the Lawgiver, brought them down from Mount Sinai and made the Israelites drink ground up gold dust from their idol.
The same Christian who supposes themselves empowered to command our adversary to GET BEHIND ME SATAN responds helplessly to public insults heaped on the only holy faith in the world nor does the venerated pulpit pastor respond with much more than a tirade preaching his vain gospel of sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt us while the invasion of America by other religions and the casting out of our sacred honors in this nation are the beginnings of a violent and deadly persecution of each and every believer as well as an insult to the Word God Almighty who is our Father wrote in stone.
The ten commandments are as important to America as they were to Israel when God wrote them with his finger in stone and Moses delivered them to the believing world. They are the most important of all the commandments found in holy Scripture. They constitute the kind of hard core spiritual truth that unites a nation in a healthy mindset allowing for strong individuals.
The ten commandments are prophetic in nature. They could be called THE TEN PROPHECIES pointing to some time in a future Age when you: "SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE YOU," when "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, MIND AND STRENGTH," when "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY," when "YOU SHALL NOT KILL," when "YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, when YOU SHALL KEEP THE SABBATH HOLY," when "YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE YOU."
Would you like to live in a world where THE TEN COMMANDMENTS are obeyed 100%? It will be a LOVE GOD AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR WORLD! Begin living THE TEN COMMANDMENTS now in preparation for it.
Are these ten prophecies true of the Church in America today? No. Sin is epidemic in churchmen everywhere in this vast continent. A strong indicator of pending judgment upon God's people.
Is anyone preaching it? Yes, right here in this website. Will the people "ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE?" No. They will "HEAP UP TEACHERS UNTO THEMSELVES" because they have "ITCHING EARS" and they will "TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH." The pulpits of America are filled by hirelings who tickle the ears of the congregations with what they want to hear, rather than what they need to hear to become fully sanctified in Christ.
The world already despises us. They took away the lawful right to pray officially in public, but they can never take away the unlawful right to pray in public nor can they ever take away private prayer. Are you mindful of what the righteous Daniel did when the counsellors of the king persuaded him to make it unlawful to pray? He went on three times a day facing east praying from his window and was marched into the lion's den.
Who will follow the righteous Prophet's example? Who will step forth for God and put their life and their career on the line? Where is the courage of your faith?
GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL WE THINK OR ASK. Why should there be any fear? Does he only hear the prayers of prophets? Did the Lord not heal and cast out demons for those with whom he discerned faith? Faith is the virtue of Christ you must cherish and built up. IT IS ONLY BY FAITH YOU CAN PLEASE GOD.
Living outside of obedience to the ten commandments weakens faith considerably. How can anyone trust in God while knowingly disobeying Him?
There are ten commandments which God's people must make a part of their lives for them to some day be ten prophecies fulfilled. The ten commandments should be a goal for every believer to obey. There are ten commandments not only to recognize, but also to understand fully.
The following is a commentary on them to help your understanding and ultimately your
obedience to THE TEN COMMANDMENTS:
There are many gods in this world. Avoid mentioning their names.
Some of the religions of the world are represented by many gods. The devil is
"the god of
this world," "the prince of the powers of the air." There are demon powers in the air
obedient to the devil. The powers of the air rule over
the media of television and even over many a phone conversation. Just the nature of those
devices should act as a warning that they are demon prone.
People have more freedom to speak evil over the phone where they cannot see
how hurt the person on the other end of the line is, and where someone stronger
might want to put their hands on them were they present. Phones are a unique
environment for conversations
more capable of being influenced by demons than when people are talking face to
face instead of voice to voice.
Use phones sparingly. Avoid becoming addicted to cell phone use as many are doing,
who get a "buzz" from calling and receiving calls. Keep yourself
clear as much as it is possible from the many businesses arising in America where
offerings and incense are burned to idols who in some instances are looked upon by some
as gods to be worshiped and prayed to . Avoid stores where idols are sold. We serve "A JEALOUS GOD."
Stay far from prayer meetings with other religions participating. Their
gods are not our God.
Throughout history mankind made gods out of wood and sometimes precious stones
like gold
and silver. Those gods are dead, but demons do respond to
prayers and worship offered to them and incense burned to please them. So
our Maker takes it seriously when someone bows before them or serves them. Exodus 20:5
America has taken the sin of idol worship to a
new level idolizing movie stars, money makers like Donald Trump and participants in television games.
The American media has become a manufacturer of stars.
This form of idolatry has invaded the Church in America where TBN, Robert Schuler and other religous
media leaders invite those presently in the limelight to stand with them before their television audience
in the name of the Lord. Now it seems every aspiring religious leader must write a book to make a name for
themselves and every musician must go into a recording studio to produce the merchandise of stardom. It is
common now to find photographic images of them hanging on the walls of Christian homes and businesses and it
has become a sign of the "in crowd" to have their merchandise on hand.
Stay far from religious and film idols. Why exalt them when he who holds
the universe together with his Word deserves your adoration. Consider their autographs and photographs
an abomination. Why should
you offend your Maker? No idolater shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9:10) Idolatry is a
work of the flesh. Galatians 5:20
"The Lord will not hold guiltless those who take his name in vain." (Exodus 20:7).
"There is life and death in the mouth." Choose Life!
"Choose this day whom you are going to serve." Isn't it ironic how the Lord's
name is used as curse word in America where he was the cornerstone our forefathers
set in place with the breakthrough establishment of freedom of religion. We
never hear the names of other gods used as curse words. Keep your language pure. "Out
of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."
Gentile believers are not obligated to keep the Hebrew laws according to the Apostles,
but it certainly is strengthening spiritually to keep the Sabbath in a right way. If you
haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing.
Since America is not a theocracy
like Israel of old where the Sabbath was obeyed, you can choose Sunday or any day of the
week where you are able to practice the sabbath. Forsake pleasure seeking, limit your
travel, meditate in the Scriptures, pray, sing praises. If there is any fellowship,
it should be only in the Word
of God with like minded believers. The Sabbath is a set apart day for set apart believers.
If you are able to take Saturday off to do it, begin
observing Sabbath at Friday sundown through Saturday sundown. Make sure all your foods
are already prepared and all your shopping is done. Avoid all buying and selling on the
Sabbath. You'll find observing Sabbath requires discipline.
Watch out for those who are legalistic regarding the Sabbath. Many give
only lip service to the Sabbath to make themselves appear holy. Observe the Sabbath with the same secrecy used in giving charitably to others. Why should you quench the Spirit?
Failure to give due respect to your
father and mother brings God's righteous judgment against you (Exodus 20:12; Proverbs 20:20).
God is sensitive to your honoring your parents properly. They stand in his sted from
your birth if your family is whole.
If you obey and honour them, the LORD knows you are capable of obeying and honouring Him.
This particular generation does not know how or why they should honor their parents. The
children are free from obeying their parents by means of television, internet, cell phones,
and cars. Those devices produce an undesireable adult lifestyle for children in the homes,
teaching them to disrespect their parents.
When they are not yet old enough to drink liquor
legally or go into nightclubs, they can envision themselves there on television programs.
When they would not ordinarily be ready to think about sex or pornography, they can sneak
peeks into promiscuious websites and adult films. Instead of old fashioned chaperoned dating,
teenagers go out in cars and do their thing
unrestricted by parental authority.
Many come home pregnant long before they are prepared
to raise a child. Others become drug addicts or drunks.
Parents in America have been reduced to sugar Daddy's and
Mom's providing the means for the degenerate behaviour of their children. These evil
trends in family relationships are further exasperated by the epidemic of divorces and
abortions in this
nation, leaving most children with one parent.
After all these evils have made their imprint
on a child, it is nearly impossible for them to honor their father and mother properly.
Take all of your deficiencies into consideration and make amends as much as it is possible
for you.
I. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE YOU:
II. YOU SHALL NOT MAKE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE OF A GOD:
III. YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD YOUR GOD IN VAIN:
IV. REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY:
V. HONOR YOUR FATHER AND THY MOTHER:
VI. YOU SHALL NOT KILL:
Have you ever hated anyone? Jesus said hatred of the heart is equivalent to murder!
Murderers are destined to burn forever in hell. (Exodus 20:13; Matthew 5:21-22; 1 John 3:36).
You are in the kill mode as long as you hate. Hate is like a loaded gun ready to go off.
Love cannot exist in the same place as hate.
You must give up hate to make room for the divine Love of God to become resident in you.
There is some confusion over the use of the word kill. In the Old Testament we read of
holy men like Abraham and David going to war. We have a right to defend ourselves and our
nation against murderers. Perhaps you should realize the intent of the commandment is:
You shall not murder. But remember, the ten commandments are prophecies by nature. The day
will come when YOU SHALL NOT KILL. War will be no more.
VII. YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY:
Have you ever lusted? Jesus said if you look on a woman with lust, you've already
committed adultery with her in your heart. Adulterers will perish. You cannot be
spiritual minded and lustful at the same time. (Exodus 20:14; Matthew 5:28). Lust is an
inward drive built into men and women to bring them together to bring children, but it
easily gets out of control to where it is all an individual can think of. Referring to
sexual perverts, God says in his Word they burned in their lust one for another. God is
not in all their thoughts. He says, I will turn them over to a reprobate mind. (Reference
Romans chapter one and two)
VIII. YOU SHALL NOT STEAL:
Have you stolen and not repented of it? If so, you are a thief.
The God of the Bible says no thief has eternal life.
(Exodus 20:15; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). There are many Christians throughout
the world who think the LORD God does not care if they oppress others to gain wealth
in his name. Yet they are stealing. Many weak hearted Christians lie on government
forms to get more money, and think it is okay because they have financial needs.
Yet, they are stealing. Faith has no need of stealing as Christ showed Saint Peter
when toll money was demanded of him and they had none. Go down to the water and catch
a fish, he told the Saint. And reach into his mouth where you will find a gold coin.
By that means the toll money was paid and the work of God went on.
Stealing is driven by the flesh, but faith is driven by the Spirit.
Cease from theft and trust the LORD.
IX. YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS:
In the book of Revelation 21:8 we are told, all liars will
have their part in the lake of fire (Exodus 20:16). You are playing with hellfire and
damnation when you allow yourself to lie.
You've opened the door for demon oppression. Evil spirits will see your inclination
to lie and they will influence your
consciousness to make a habit of it. "The Devil takes people captive at his will."
Bearing false witness against someone
is a form of lying where another is betrayed, sometimes to the
extent charactor assassination takes place. Once it is discovered an individual is
capable of lying, there is evidence they are also able to bear false witness against
you no matter how good their intentions are. Stay far from them. People bear false
witness against others for financial gain. "The love of money is the root of all evil."
It is a carefully hidden motive much like the root of a tree is buried under the earth.
It is where the lie is nourished. These go hand in hand.
Bearing false witness and the love of money. Get rid of the love of money and you
will be able to overcome the temptation to bear false witness against someone if you
are not already well practiced at lying.
X. YOU SHALL NOT COVET:
By allowing yourself to covet what is not yours, you open the door of your heart to steal it
away to yourself. So it is that covetousness produces thieves, and thieves ultimately
become murderers to protect what they have stolen. The Lord set the example. He had
food and drink and the clothing on his back, yet he did more good for humanity in three
years as homeless wanderer than any other man in history. The covetous will be judged.
(Exodus 20:17; 1 Corinthians 6:10).
God hates covetousness. When you see the gorgeous woman or the awesome looking classic car
as something you have to have to be happy, you are adoring those things more than God who
made you. Avoid covetousness. It is idol'try.
T H E CONCLUSION:
"YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART, SOUL, MIND AND STRENGTH AND YOUR
NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF:"
Jesus tells us, the entire law of God hangs upon those two requirements.
They should be central to your belief in the God of the Bible and your hope of eternal
Life in Him.
If you have searched the Scriptures, you have found the law of God reveals your guilt in the sight of the all
seeing, all knowing God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23) "Thus, the law is our schoolmaster to bring us to Jesus Christ so we might be
justified by faith." (Galatians 3:24). If you commit sin, sin is your master (John 8:34).
You have fallen under its spellbinding power. The problem with man is not merely one of
behavior but one of nature. The God of the Bible declares your need to be utterly changed
into a new creature in Christ. However, it is impossible for you to deliver yourself.
"How can you do good when you are accustomed to doing evil?" (Jeremiah 13:23) The
practices of sin have rendered you helpless spiritually. You are not only in need of
forgiveness, but are also in need of cleansing to make way for empowerment. Turn all of
your life over to God. Take the same invisible path holy men in ancient days took to
become filled with the Spirit of God. Repent of every sin and seek forgiveness from God
in prayers and fasting. Be baptised to death of self in the Holy Ghost. Feed spiritually
on the Word of God where-ever you go. Grow up into Christ the hope of glory. Prepare your
place in eternity.
