It is so easy to fall into corrupt communications without your realizing it. It is natural to human nature to be judgmental and to communicate our displeasure with others. Were we of the mind of Christ to suffer inconveniences supplied by others, we would find people responding much more positively toward us were we patient with them.
There is plenty of good advice on how to bridle our tongue in holy Scripture if we will only learn to live it. "SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE" discreetly from your heart without offensive. The perfect man offends no one.
"LET NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT ONLY THAT WHICH IS GOOD FOR EDIFICATION, THAT IT MIGHT MINISTER GRACE UNTO THE HEARERS."
If your communication does not minister grace to those who hear you, it is a corrupt communication.
"BE QUICK TO HEAR, SLOW TO SPEAK"...AND "LET YOUR WORDS BE FEW." It is natural to human nature to want to do the talking, but a desire to come to a greater knowledge of the truth will help us listen better to what others have to say.
If you are really concerned for others, you will be sensitive to what they have to say, discerning their motives for saying it. This is all part of your spiritual warfare. That you might be able to discern between friend and foe, good and evil and closure v/s the continuation of matters.
We are told in the Word of God that the tongue is an unruly evil full of deadly poison. The tongue is like the rudder
on a ship. The tongue turns you like the rudder turns a ship. Be careful how you steer through your conversations.
