"Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Ephesians 6:11/12)
The whole armour of God is manifest in the anointing of Christ. Without the anointed Presence of Jesus Christ in your person; you cannot hope to withstand in the evil day. Those few laborers who do walk in the anointing do all to stand. Anything less invites failure.
Many are deluded into believing they are Spirit filled without having to do anything to attain to the anointing. When the time of the "apostasia" comes, many of them will fall away.
But those who are fully committed to "hunger and thirst after righteousness that they might be filled" with the Spirit of the Lord today, will be able to withstand the wiles of the Devil in the evil day.
The vast majority of believers have decided to keep their lives and in doing so, they have not made themselves vessels suitable for the Master's use. They cannot put on the whole armour of God.
The warfare of the carnal believer is greatly inferior to that of the spiritually minded believer.
You might be curious to know how Daniel the Prophet overcame the voracious hunger of the lions in the lions den during his all night captivity in their presence. You would probably like to think he just laid down and slept while the angel of the Lord took care of his business for him, but that is not the way spiritual warfare works.
The problem Christians are having in these Latter Times is easy to understand when you realize how few are a threat to the works of the Devil. Daniel ruled the empire with Emperor of his day. The unrighteous had no favor with him. By their conspiracy, the righteous Daniel had to spend the night in the lion's den to fulfill the King's law.
He was the only food those killer lions had in sight. Any Christian in today's lukewarm practice of the faith would
have been torn to shreds and swallowed within minutes after Daniel walked into their den.
In the Spirit of the fearlessness of the
anointing the Prophet was able to look them in the eye with mesmerizing power unblinkingly. He was also able to
speak commands with such authority in the Spirit the lion's immediately understood he was not meat on their
table, and if any one of them dared approach him to sniff him out; the Prophet was able to speak gently with
such beauty of holiness, they who loved no creature were able to love Him who was a vessel suitable for the Master's
You might think these kind of comments are adding to sacred Scripture what is not there, but actually these kind of statements are telling the potential of the anointing Daniel walked in to do such things. What those lions were facing was their Creator standing in Daniel the Prophet in their den. The irresistable Lord of glory always has power over His creatures.
Only those who live Life absolutely obedient to all holy Scripture asks of us will ever find the power to fight and win
spiritual warfare as Daniel the Prophet fought and won it that night in the lion's den. When the King came in the
morning, he was greatly surprised and pleased to find his friend Daniel still alive. It was a miracle!
