Many addictions involve a mad desire to look good.

The above video will give you the tour of your body showing you what smoke will do to it.

We who believe in Jesus Christ as our Saviour are not to be brought under the power of anything. We belong to him. He purchased us with a price.

It was my good fortune to be out for a drive with Dad when he saw me watching him smoke a cigar. "Oh, would you like to smoke one too?" he asked while driving.

I was really interested in smoking a cigar but I wanted to be accepted by Dad, so I said, "Sure I do."

"Well open up the glove compartment and get yourself one," he replied like a pal.

So I got one out and lit it up and was puffing away on it, feeling pretty good about myself. I felt like this was the proof I was grown up now. But good old Dad looked over and said, "Oh no, you're not smoking it right. You have to inhale."

Well, I sucked in a few big ones and decided that was enough. I wasn't feel well. A few minutes later, I asked Dad to pull over.

I had some business with the side of the road.

After emptying my stomach, I climbed back in and was silent all the way home. I was too sick to understand what had happened, but I was cured from ever smoking again; and didn't know it.

I was one of the lucky ones.

THIS MAN SUFFERED DISFIGUREMENT FROM SURGERY:

My wife and I started smoking, because we thought it made us look cool. Eventually, I had to have all teeth, my lower jaw and my tongue removed. I could no longer kiss my wife or eat a solid meal. My wife died about 4 years ago from congestive heart failure from smoking. Think I look cool now the man asks on the above video?

There is no guarantee you will end up looking like the victim of cigarette addiction, but there is no guarantee you won't.

      Examine your motives.

He thought it made him look cool to smoke cigarettes, so did his wife. They wanted to fit in, to belong. Strangely enough there is a segment of society that will not have anything to do with smokers in their private lives. They don't smoke and they will not tolerate anyone who does smoke for very long, particularly in their residences.

Those who do smoke are most like to be sinners lost in their sins and on their way to hellfire and damntion with the way they do things. Now is that the crowd you want to hang out with it?

"The world love their own," we are told in the counsel of God. Just as birds of a feather flock together, so do the lost and the saved flock together. Its no longer fashionable to be a believer in Jesus Christ, but don't let that bother you at all. When sinners fall into the bottomless pit, it will no longer be fashionable to be a sinner.

THROAT AND LUNG CANCER KILLED THIS MAN:

The doctors operated on the throat of a man in the above video telling him he had throat cancer, then they told him he also had lung cancer.

It doesn't take long to die with lung cancer. It eats a few holes in your lungs to where you can't breath anymore and you're gone.

YUL BRENNER SPEAKS FROM THE GRAVE:

Yul Brenner, the famous Russian American actor has something to say from you about cigarette smoking. It will only take a minute.

Yul Brenner was convinced smoking brought about the cancer that killed him before his time at the age of 65 when he was in great health otherwise. But we can't live without our lungs and the cancer ate his alive.
