Tradition in America has it, sinners ought to: "Ask Jesus into their life". Yet, the Lord is already involved in everyone's life?
God is everywhere at once. Why would he not be involved in everyone's life? He hears your every thought. He knows what you will say before you say it. He knows you far better than you know yourself. He is the beginning and end of all things.
Telling the lost they ought to invite Jesus into their life suggests a certain lack of God consciousness.
Have you given any thought as to how the Potter shaped your life before you were saved even though you did not know Him?
The Lord knew you before the foundations of the world were laid. He shaped you in your Mother's womb. He chose everything about you including your gender, your parents, the moment of your birth, where you were born, the color of your hair and skin. God was involved in every detail of your life from your conception to birth and up to the present moment. Your God consciousness indicates just how aware you are of God's involvement in your life and the lives of others.
God is the judge of all the earth. He judges every word that comes out of the mouth of the lost and the saved, whether it be good or bad.
God has the power to carry out his judgments unseen by most of humanity. Can you imagine how foolish a Christian looks in the sight of his all seeing, all hearing God when he suggests a lost soul ought to invite the Lord into his life?
God may draw millions of lost souls to Him today, and the Spirit of salvation may be quenched for many of them by Christians making the Word of God of no effect through their traditions.
Should sinners invite God into their life as though that is all they have left undone all of the days they have been alive? Should sinners invite God into their life to get into right standing with the Creator of the Universe?
A high schooler would be humble before the principal of their school were they trying to avoid punishment for cronic truancy? A criminal in a court room would show remorse for their crimes if they want mercy from the judge?
Christians who suggest the lost ought to invite God into their life are soft pedaling the Gospel. Its hard to tell a sinner just how sorry they need to be before God Almighty for the selfish way they have lived their life. The sinner might get angry. He might get violent!
The sinner lost in spiritual darkness has not been able to figure out what he must do to come into the light. Sinners cannot be cured of their sinfulness until they are remorseful for the evils they do. Repentance is not only important to the salvation of every sinner, it is essential to the complete sanctification of every Saint.
What if a sinner invites God into his life and dies of a heart attack a few hours later without ever having repented of the multitudes of sins he has committed? Try opening the door to your residence with the wrong key and see what happens! Try paying your bills with a bad check!
"Blessed is he who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly."
Christians in America have found other ways to soft pedal the gospel and make it sound more like a social club the sinner can join. It has become popular to tell sinners they ought to "GIVE THEIR HEART TO THE LORD."
That sounds right, but is it? If what is being said is not Bibical, it is of the flesh; and has been deposited in the churches by the Adversary. How can you know?
The holy Book requires repentance for salvation, any other approach will likely fail of the desired effect. Ask yourself, "If a sinner agrees they have given their heart to the Lord, ....is there any real evidence of their repentance in doing so?"
The Adversary attacks the Church at its roots. The salvation of its members is one of his primary targets. The more the Devil is able to fill the churches with hypocrites lost in the darkness of their own selves, the easier it is to lead them in the degenerate direction we see congregations going in these last days.
Telling sinners they ought to give their heart to the Lord has something in common with their
inviting the Lord into their lives. In both situations, Christians are not pressing the sinner
into the state of remorsefulness necessary for them to truly repent of their sins unto God.
This is a great evil!
Advising sinners to ask Jesus into their heart sounds romantic. After all, GOD IS LOVE. If its that easy. If all the lost have to do is admit they are a sinner and invite God into their heart, where is the repentance? Where is the sorrow for all of the evils they have done?
Where is the remorse for all of the good they could have done had they permitted THE GOD OF LOVE to work through them all of the years they selfishly lived for themselves?
Jesus warned against the traditions of men saying By your traditions you make the Word of God of "none effect. (Reference St. Mark 13:7)
A sinner may be under the conviction of his sins while God is drawing him to salvation with a Christian present, showing him a way out. Just ask Jesus into your heart and everything will be all right!
The sinner shows up for church services thinking he has done all he needs to do while remaining lost
in his sins. It happens every day.
If the folly of the children of God had not already made the Word of God of none effect, added to it is the error of praying the sinner's prayer for them.
A wayfaring man came upon a group of witnesses from a local church witnessing outside of a nude nightclub and immediately a lost soul was on the hook. One of the church goers went into his routine, telling the man he would pray the sinner's prayer for him, and he should repeat it after him in agreement.
But the wayfaring man took charge saying, "Oh no, this man is an adult and is quite capable of doing his own repenting before God. We will all agree with him as he repents of his sins before God, that the Lord will accept his prayer."
The Christian was astonished at the breach in traditional, but the force of persuasion was sufficient and the sinner prayed a prayer of repentance admitting he ought not to go into nude night clubs and was sorry before the Lord for having done so; and would like the Lord to forgive him of his backslidings and receive him back into good fellowship into the church he had forsaken along with God.
The churchmen were pleased. It was clear they could not have poured their heart into the prayer of repentance for the backslider like he did for his own soul.
In another circumstances, a drug addict who was street smart to the foolish of Christian witnesses suggested he was ready to repent of his sins, knowing the Christians would pray his prayer for him and count him saved. Then he might hold his hand out for a donation now that he was one of them again in their perception.
This encounter took place in another part of the County, where the Christian immediately started to pray the sinner's prayer of repentance for him; but the wayfaring man stopped him kindly suggesting the sinner do his own praying so we might agree in prayer according to what we hear.
The drug addict began a most unholy prayer literally putting the blame on his sinful existence on God and when he was done, the wayfaring man reproved him and sent him on his way with the knowledge that the error of his ways was a dangerous path to choose in this world.
Christian present was amazed at what his ears heard.
And he was admonished to never again pray the prayers
of salvation for sinners whose hearts are deceitful and
desperately wicked, and are willing to circumvent
around repentance if they can find a way.
You can drive through the cities and over the highways and you will see signs along the way saying to the public, JESUS LOVES YOU. But is it Biblical? Does Jesus love everyone?
Are you aware of who Jesus is? That his flesh was born, but his Spirit has always been? That in Him THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD DWELLS. That "ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM, AND WITHOUT HIM NOTHING WAS MADE."
Once it is agreed we are talking about the same Jesus, ....the question arises again. DOES JESUS ACTUALLY LOVE EVERYONE?
The God of the Bible was quoted by a Prophet saying, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." (Romans 9:13)
You'll remember Jacob was permitted to purchase Esau's inheritance for a bowl of food.
Hell is forever impregnated with the spirits of lost souls who are burning up in God's anger. Would you say God loves them? In Light of so many going down into hell daily, would you think it wise to place a billboard along a major highway telling the saved and the lost JESUS LOVES THEM?
When you think about this tradition which makes the Word of God of no effect like the others already mentioned, ... it attacks the foundations of salvation. How are sinners ever going to repent if they come to believe the Saviour who died for their sinners loves them just the way they are?
Christians everywhere have been taught to say, "Oh God hates the sin not the sinner."
Really? Tell that to the millions upon millions of lost spirits
burning up in the fires of God's anger in hell! Is God
only burning up their sins? Or is God burning up the sinner
with their sins?
Many a church pastor struggling to pay the bills or to build a mega-church will send congregational members out into the highways and byways to invite the lost to church.
There may be a door to door campaign or the passing out of tracts with the church address stamped on them.
The untrained witness is particularly vulnerable to inviting the lost to attend church services simply because they feel inadequate to witness to sinners.
Churches are so competitive for members, some have put messages on the church sign saying, "ALL ARE WELCOME."
There are many ways a sinner may find their way into a congregation without anyone discerning they are lost in their sins. Once the sinner is accepted as a church member, it is going to be more difficult for him to become saved.
What need is there of repentance when the sinner is already accepted by the congregation?
Once again the traditions of men make the Word of
God of no effect.
The churches of this great nation are filling up with sinners in preparation for the fulfillment of Saint Paul's prophecy of the "APOSTASIA." The falling away from the faith when persecution comes that Jesus also spoke of.
This is a sign the time is fast approaching when worldwide persecution of believers will take place and church members will abandon the sinking ship to join the antichrist world government.
Take a diligent look at what churches in America are doing and you will
see it. You will know them by their fruits.
Read the Bible through and through and you'll not find anyone asking (1) Jesus into their heart,(2) Lord come into my life, (3) Lord, I give my heart to you. Neither will you find preachers in the Bible telling the public, (4) Jesus loves you. (5) Come to church in your sins. (6) Agree with me in prayer as I pray your salvation prayer for you.
There are pastors everywhere who will say, "We are doing just fine. Go out and lead the lost to the Lord and we'll baptize them in water into the Spirit." And this sounds correct. After all, God provides pastors for the churches or do the Seminaries provide them?
Let's examine the system of soulwinning.
Here's the present situation in America: (1) Cross bearers are not produced in air
conditioned/heated Seminary class rooms. (2) Religious leaders
in the pulpits of America are not bearing the cross of a living sacrifice, so they are obviously unable to
to preach the cross properly or they will disqualify themselves. (3) Repentance is not
preached in the public by those who bring people into
the churches where pastors perform the rituals of water baptism
and presumably baptize new believers in the Spirit. (4) The evidence of
the baptism in the Spirit is the speaking in tongues by new believers who
are told to fake it to get the Spirit started. Is there any further need
of proof the system of making new converts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
is corrupt from beginning to end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's start with the day of Pentecost when three thousand Hebrew converts were added to the Jewish congregation in Jerusalem at the birth of THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH:
Peter continued his message to the Hebrews making it clear to them Messiah had been raised from the dead and seated at the right hand of the throne of God and this same Jesus, a holy Jew, the fulfillment of so many prophecies foretelling the coming of the Messiah; ...they of,... the house of Israel were responsible for crucifying. Imagine a crowd of Jewish people finding out from miracle working Jews they were being held corporately responsible for the death of their own Messiah!!!
You will notice nothing was said about giving their heart to Jesus, inviting the Lord into their heart, or praying God into their life. There was no assurance "Jesus loves you," nor was there an invitation to meet at the local synagogue to get saved. No-one said "Repeat this prayer of salvation after me," and you will be saved. There was no boasting on the part of the 120 or the apostles of their credentials of being with Jesus. There was no ordination scroll proving the right of Peter to preach. No-one saying "You are welcome to join with us even if you don't repent."
Read the continuing first Century REVIVAL in the book of Acts and you will find no mention of those Spirit quenching techniques identified in the churches today. Phillip preached repentance in Samaria and Peter and John, came down and prayed for them that they might RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT" (Acts 8:12-17). Phillip preached to the Egyptian Eunoch and baptized him in water and in the holy Ghost.
The Apostle Paul came across some Hebrews who were baptized by John and he said to them, 'John baptized with the baptism of REPENTANCE, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.' On hearing this, they were BAPTIZED in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands upon them, the HOLY SPIRIT came on them; and they SPOKE WITH TONGUES and prophesied" (Acts 19:1-6).
Peter preached to Cornelius and the Gentile crowd gathered there and "While Peter was still saying this, the HOLY SPIRIT FELL on all who heard the word... they heard them SPEAKING IN TONGUES and extolling God. Then Peter declared, 'Can anyone forbid water for BAPTIZING these people who have RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT just as we have?' And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 10:44-48).
You can see there was no hesitation in the first Century REVIVAL, as With the Phillipian jailer, he and his entire household were baptized immediately - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (-Acts 16:32-33). No-one was fighting over the sheep to see who would keep them for resources and tithe money. No-one put them through theological training to make sure their mindset was the same as their guides. They were not told they had to become rooted and grounded in a congregation, but were all well on their way to becoming "ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN CHRIST" as the Scriptures also say.
Isn't it amazing? There is no evidence in the book of Acts REVIVAL of anyone saying, "You need to invite Jesus to be your personal Saviour. The emphasis is always on REPENTANCE unto the Lord. Obtain his forgiveness!!
He becomes your Saviour when you REPENT, so why would anyone preach around repentance unless they are ignorant of the consequences.
The Scriptures are not repetitive like cookies coming out of same cookie cutter or cars off of the same assembly line. But a careful study of the book of Acts displays an unbroken pattern of REPENTANCE, WATER BAPTISM, and BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT.
If one part or another is absent in any of the stories of REVIVAL, that does
not mean it didn't take place. What is absent from the entire book
of Acts are the Spirit quenching techniques of soulwinning in use
by the churches in America today. That means they are unBiblical. The Spirit will not
bear witness with their use.
There is the REPENTANCE of John the Baptist's WATER BAPTISM again. In the first Century REVIVAL, multitudes had come to John's BAPTISMS to repent and wash away their sins in the waters of the Jordan River.
Water baptism for Saint Paul was not a symbolic experience. He washed his sins away in water baptism. From the moment the Lord blinded him on the Damascus Road with the holy Light of his divine Presence, Paul was aware he was a murderer.
You can be sure he earnestly and devoutly washed his bloody sins away while he yet had the chance and was glad to do it. Now that he had met Jesus whom he was persecuting, he would no longer kill anyone of the body of Christ but would be willing to die for God's people and for the King of kings and Lord of lords whom he would serve all of the days of his life.
Do you hear any mention of washing away sins in water baptism in today's churches?
No. What we hear is: "You will go under the water and come forth a new creature in Christ." "You will leave your old man dead in the water and your new man will come forth."
From the day of their water baptism on Christians are told, "Jesus came into you, therefore you have all of him in the fullness of the godhead bodily and if you live virtuously, he will manifest in your life."
This kind of false doctrine deteours around the sanctification process of God's people learning to live the truth so they can be completely set free to walk in Christ in his glory. It bypasses the "GROWING UP INTO CHRIST" and "PUT YE ON THE LORD JESUS" category of Scriptures.
Today's churchman has no real interest in eating the book in the angel's hand which is the holy Book. Its rare to meet a Christian who has read the Bible through from cover to cover even once.
Today's churches have no real interest in bearing the cross of the living sacrifice. Its even more rare to meet a wayfaring man living in the poverty of Christ and walking in the Spirit of his holiness.
Today's churches offer new members instant enlightenment, instant sancitification, instant justification, instant empowerment, instant holiness. Entire congregations are addressed as new creatures in Christ. The churches in America tell their members whose righteousness is as "filthy rags", "You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
It is difficult to find anything Biblically correct in the churches in America.
Present day Christians will argue fervently to defend traditions. Some will quote the book of Revelation where Jesus was speaking to the Laodicean church about him coming in to them to fill them with his Spirit. But 99% of the Christians in America believe the Lord was talking about coming into the heart of lost sinners to save them.
Jesus said: "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in to him, and sup with him and he with me."
If any man in the church wil hear the voice of the Lord, something only the devout believer can expect to do; Jesus will COME IN TO HIM, AND SUP WITH HIM AND HE WITH" him. It is in the anointing of the Lord filling the devout inwardly, that the real personal experience begins to get deep. That's why Jesus said to his disciples when they were Spirit filled. "THE KINGDOM IS WITHIN." But until the Christian graduates in sanctification to walk in the Spirit of the anointing, THE KINGDOM IS WITHOUT.
When Jesus said, "UNLESS YOU ARE BAPTIZED IN WATER AND SPIRIT, YOU CANNOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD," he was not talking about salvation. The Lord was talking about the devout Christian entering into the THE KINGDOM OF GOD anointing.
The strategy of the early church REVIVAL in the Middle East was to fast track believers into the anointing. The holy Apostles were very quick about getting into Samaria to make sure the Samaritans were baptized in the holy Ghost after Phillip led so many there to the Lord. They didn't want Samaria to be "just saved." They wanted them "WHOLLY SANCTIFIED" to walk in the anointing and "DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL."
The thief on the cross is the centerpiece to many theological disputes, but suffice it to say, the Lord recognized his salvation when he told him: "This day you will be with me in Paradise." The Lord went no further with the man because the baptism of the holy Ghost would have done him little good. He was about to die on the cross.
He had confessed with his mouth the Lord Jesus.
Saint Paul wrote about initial salvation when he said: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved" (Rom 10:9). There is salvation without the bapism of the holy Spirit. But if a preacher wants REVIVAL, he will preach REPENTANCE/WATER BAPTISM/AND BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT and he will avail himself of all three, and will not cease until the souls have completed the process.
There will not be much of a REVIVAL if a whole
community receives Christ as their Saviour and
does not experience the entire threefold process so they
can be empowered to become "WHOLLY SANCTIFIED."
