Jesus said, "IF YOU HAVE SEEN ME YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER."
Father, Son and Holy Ghost are of one Perfect Spirit. Perfect "LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, GENTLENESS, GOOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, AND TEMPERANCE." (Galatians 5:22)
The word "Father" like many words found in the holy Book is understood depending on the level of God consciousness of the individuals using it. Our earthly parents did not possess a spirit of perfect love, joy, peace and so on like God. They were mortal and they were corruptible, but God the Father is immortal and incorruptible. He is perfect in all His ways and divine in His Spirit.
"WE HAVE HAD FATHERS OF OUR FLESH WHICH CORRECTED US, AND WE GAVE THEM REVERENCE: SHALL WE NOT MUCH RATHER BE IN SUBJECTION UNTO THE FATHER OF SPIRITS AND LIVE? THEY FOR A FEW DAYS ACTUALLY CHASTISED US AFTER THEIR OWN PLEASURE; BUT HE FOR OUR PROFIT, SO WE MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS." (Hebrews 12:9/10)
We see our earthly fathers visibly but we must see our heavenly Father with spiritual eyes.
The more we grow in the knowledge of God, and in his Spirit; the more we ought to expect trials and sufferings. "HE SCOURGES AND CHASTISES EVERY SON HE LOVES."
And even though punishments from our heavenly Father are not
convenient for the moment, when He is finished raising us up
into Christ likeness; we will have graduated from being children
of God to Sons of God with an illuminated understanding of
the great mysteries of godliness.
