We are finite.

      God is infinite.

You cannot pour an ocean of water into a bucket and expect it to hold it. So it is with man's attempts to comprehend God.

Were you to totally turn your life over to God, serving him day and night for the rest of your life, to earn your way into the beauties of holiness treasured up in Sainthood, you would gain a much better knowledge of who God is through experience than you would in relying on human intellect.

Saint John ate the book into his understanding. It was sweet to the taste, but bitter to the belly. (Revelation 10:10)

In the beginning of your salvation when you were enamored with God in your first love toward him, you had much to learn about how tough the journey is in his greatness of grace to become perfected in Christ.

Perfection immersed in the Spirit of Christ is a wonderful state of being to enter in to, but the price of purchasing such spiritual gold tried in the fire is costly, and it ought to be; since partaking of the divine nature is more precious than gold and silver metals and men will die to possess them.

There is no searching out of God's understanding. (Isaiah 40:28) Many boast of their high intelligence and disregard the one who gave them intelligence.

"IT IS THE GLORY OF GOD TO CONCEAL A THING: BUT THE HONOR OF KINGS IS TO SEARCH OUT A MATTER." (Proverbs 25:2) Look for concealment in everything God does. He will be known by your faithful obedience to the cross far above the intellectual speculations of the religious minded.

"DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU." (St. James 4:8)

Show yourself proud and God will be far from you, but humility is before honour.

God "SITS UPON THE CIRCLE OF THE EARTH, AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF ARE AS GRASSHOPPERS." (Isaiah 40:22)

Would it surprise you to know God sees us as insects upon the earth. We are more valuable than sparrows, but how valuable is a sparrow who cannot fall to the ground without God seeing it? (St Luke 12:6)

He knows all creatures. (Psalm 72:18) We have the capacity to know a few dozen people. God has the capacity to know billions upon billions of creatures he created. Some cannot remember the name of a stranger the next day after meeting them. God never forgets anything unless he wants to.

God Almighty measured the oceans in the palm of his hand and meted out the heavens with his own measure and weighed the mountains on scales. (Isaiah 40:12) Yet we cannot hold but a gulp of water in the palm of our hands, and where would we find scales to weigh a mountain?

God fills heaven and earth. (Jeremiah 23:24) He is present everywhere. King David said if he went down into hell God would be there.

God sees all of mankinds goings. (Job 34:21) (Psalm 33:13) He "QUICKENS ALL THINGS."

God sees through walls (Psalm 139:15/16) and into the deeper meanings of our thoughts and intentions.

"ALL NATIONS BEFORE HIM ARE AS NOTHING AND THEY ARE COUNTED AS LESS THAN NOTHING AND VANITY." (Isaiah 40:17)

"OH LORD, HOW GREAT ARE YOUR WORKS! AND YOUR THOUGHTS ARE VERY DEEP." (Psalm 92:5)

God is everything and we are nothing.

Those who have the greatness of grace to enjoy the wonders of his Spirit in the anointing of Christ are brought to Life by Him. "IN HIM IS LIFE, AND HIS LIFE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD."
